Who this is for: Brand users and sales reps on Pro or Enterprise. Buyer (account) users cannot connect. A brand administrator must enable MCP in Platform Settings first.
Keystone MCP lets AI clients — Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and other Model Context Protocol clients — ask questions about your live Keystone data using the same read-only tools as the in-app AI Assistant (Gus). MCP is a Pro / Enterprise upgrade from Basic (Basic keeps Gus in-app).

Connect URL

Full setup steps for each tool: Connecting clients.
In the app: Settings → MCP connections (copy URL + link to this guide).
What that means in practice:
  • The AI can look up orders, invoices, shipments, accounts, products, restock timelines, and sales rankings.
  • It cannot place orders, send emails, edit catalogs, or change settings.
  • It only sees what your Keystone role already allows (reps see their book of business; brand users see brand-wide data).

Before you connect

  1. Confirm your brand is on Pro or Enterprise (Basic cannot connect MCP clients).
  2. Ask a brand Administrator to turn on Enable MCP (AI clients) under Settings → Platform Settings.
  3. Be ready to sign in to the Keystone app (same login as day-to-day use, including SSO / MFA when enabled) — the first connection opens Keystone consent, not a separate MCP password form.
  4. Follow Connecting clients for Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT (remote OAuth / authorization-code + PKCE).

What you can ask

Same kinds of questions you’d ask Gus:
“Which of my accounts haven’t ordered in the last 90 days?”
“Show open orders for Acme Retail.”
“How much ATS do I have on SKU CC26-BLK?”
“Top SKUs this month by invoiced quantity.”
