# Assign Reps

> Link unassigned customer accounts to sales reps in Keystone.

<Note>
  **Who this is for:** Brand administrators only. Go to **Settings → Assign Reps**.
</Note>

After an initial data sync, some customer accounts may arrive without a sales rep assigned. The **Assign Reps** page lets brand administrators map those accounts to the correct rep.

## When to use this

* Right after connecting Shopify or another integration and completing the first sync
* When new customers appear without a rep on their record
* When the dashboard banner shows unassigned accounts needing attention

## Shopify brands

For Shopify-connected brands, assignment is interactive:

1. Open **Settings → Assign Reps**.
2. Browse the paginated list of unassigned customers.
3. Use the **Rep** dropdown on each row to pick a sales rep.
4. The assignment saves immediately when you select a rep — the row shows a spinner, then disappears from the list on success.

Keystone suggests a rep based on the most common rep on that customer's existing transactions.

<Warning>
  Selecting a rep writes the assignment to Shopify (sales-rep metafield) and backfills historical transactions. There is no undo — double-check the rep before selecting.
</Warning>

A progress banner tracks background jobs if you navigate away mid-assignment. Failed rows can be retried from the banner.

## Luminous brands

For Luminous-connected brands, this page is **read-only**. Reps must be assigned in Luminous and will sync into Keystone on the next Luminous sync.

## Creating a new rep inline

If the correct rep does not exist yet, use **Create partner** from the assignment page to add a new rep record without leaving the flow.
