# Inventory & ATS

> How sellable inventory works in Keystone and where to turn it on.

<Note>
  **Who this is for:** Brand users and reps. Account (buyer) users see inventory on ordering screens (ATS, catalog order) but do not manage inventory settings.
</Note>

**Sellable inventory** is the quantity your team can actually sell: stock on hand + incoming POs − open orders.

Turn it on for two reasons:

1. **Don't oversell** — reps and buyers see real available qty, not raw warehouse counts that ignore what's already promised.
2. **Don't over-invest** — future ship orders reserve incoming POs first, so you don't lock up on-hand stock (or buy more inventory) when a PO can cover the order.

It powers ATS, catalog ordering, draft checks, reports, and partner-facing inventory data.

## Viewing available inventory

### ATS (Available to Sell)

Go to **ATS** in the left sidebar (under **Ordering**, or as a standalone link when ordering is disabled).

The ATS view shows per-SKU quantities your team can sell right now, including regional breakdowns when your brand uses USA and Canada warehouses.

### Reports

Several reports help you analyze stock:

| Report             | Path                             | What it shows                                             |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Incoming Inventory | **Reports → Incoming Inventory** | Out-of-stock SKUs with scheduled incoming POs |
| Product Shortages | **Reports → Product Shortages** | Open orders that cannot be fully covered by on-hand stock |
| SKU Reports        | **Reports → SKU Reports**        | Brand-only SKU analysis                                   |

## Configuring inventory (brand users)

Inventory configuration lives under **Settings → Inventory**.

Brand administrators set up:

| Setting               | Purpose                                                |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Warehouse regions** | Assign locations to USA or Canada |
| **In-stock now**      | Where each region gets current on-hand qty             |
| **On-order incoming** | Where future PO quantities and arrival dates come from |
| **WMS pushed tags** | Shopify tags for orders already sent to the warehouse |
| **Turn it on** | Which screens show sellable qty instead of raw stock |
| **Shortage alerts** | Email when orders cannot ship in full |

After changing settings, use **Recalculate** on the Inventory settings page to refresh quantities.

<Warning>
  Inventory settings are brand-admin configuration. Incorrect warehouse mappings can cause ATS and catalog quantities to be wrong until corrected and refreshed.
</Warning>

## Partner inventory API

Retail partners and integrators can pull your brand's inventory through the [Inventory API](/inventory-api/overview). API keys are issued by the Keystone team — see [API keys](/integrations/api-keys).
